Lateness and Absences: A 10 minute grace period is allowed for latecomers. Due to lack of warm-up and class disturbance, no one may join a class in progress after the grace period. If no students show up for class after 15 minutes, the class will be canceled. If only one student shows up for a class aged 10 or younger, a 30 minute class will be taught. For more advanced classes, a full length class will be taught. If a student misses more than 3 classes without notice or explanation, PAIYH reserves the right to terminate the student to make room for others. Students with excessive absences after January may not be allowed to participate in the recital. 

Sick Students: Students who have been sick within 24 hours of class should use common sense when deciding whether to attend class.  Students who appear to be sick will be asked to leave the studio. 

Make-Up Classes: Make-up classes are encouraged and allowed for all students in 5th grade or younger. This make-up class must be taken within 4 weeks of an absence. Call the studio in advance to schedule your make-up class in any age-appropriate class on the schedule that is not full.

Care of Students: Parents who leave during class must provide a cell phone number in case of emergency. Please notify the studio if someone else is picking up your child other than the person listed on the registration form or if you are carpooling. Students are to remain in the building while waiting to be picked up. Please come into the studio to pick up your child. PAIYH is not responsible for providing before or after class care of students. After a 10-minute grace period, a $15 late pickup fee is charged.

Studio Holidays: PAIYH studio holidays are available on the web site calendar. Monthly tuition is not adjusted for holidays.

Unexpected Interruption of Classes and Weather Closures: If PAIYH must cancel classes due to events beyond our control, such as weather or power outages, make-up classes will not be offered.  Cancelled classes are notified by email.

Substitutions: PAIYH reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if a regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach class. If PAIYH cannot arrange a substitute, a make-up class will be offered.

Parents in the Classroom: Parents are invited into the classroom for periodic observation classes. Parents should not enter the classroom unless invited by the teacher.

Dates and Events: It is the responsibility of parents or adult students to be aware of all studio activities, such as observation days, recitals, extra classes, and studio holidays. PAIYH will post such notices through email, website, and studio postings. It is the responsibility of parents or adult students to inform the studio of any changes to address, telephone number, or email.



Required dance wear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. For combination classes,

dancers are required to bring their change of shoes into class in a bag labeled with their name. Failure to wear appropriate attire to class could result in students being asked to sit out the class. Repeated failure to wear appropriate attire could result in termination of classes.


Ballet Minis, Tots N Tutus, Combo Classes, Pre-Ballet

Any ballet outfit of any color, appropriate

shoes must be worn.

Level I and Up Ballet

Black leotard, pink tights, hair in bun, pink ballet shoes. skirts may be worn as a cover up.


Jazz, Commercial jazz, Technique, Turns & Tricks

Black leotard, black leggings or shorts. Shorts must be accompanied by tights. jazz shoes are required.



Leotard or tank top, leggings or shorts, loose fitting t shirts and tank tops may be worn so long as they are not distracting.


Hip Hop

Comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes without dark soles . No dresses/skirts, flip flops, sandals, or crocs.


For combo classes, dancers must have a bag labelled with their name.

Lost or Stolen Items: PAIYH is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please check the lost and found for items left at the studio. Lost and found items are donated to charity monthly.


Level Placement: PAIYH is extremely dedicated to the correct class placement for each dancer. Class levels are often based on age. Please select the class that reflects the age that your child will be when classes are started. In all non-combination classes the first class will be used as an evaluation to ensure that all dancers are placed in the appropriate level. Class placement is decided by the director or instructor only. We reserve the right to move students to classes and/or age levels as we see fit.

Food/Drinks: Food and drinks are not allowed in the studio. Water bottles are permitted.

Electronic Devices: Electronic devices are not allowed in class. They must be left in a dance bag and silenced.

Waiver: Parents, legal guardians of minor students, and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on studio property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by any student or sibling before, during, or after class. A responsible adult must sign the PAIYH waiver prior to any class or event.

Photo Release: PAIYH is hereby granted permission to take photographs of students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials. Permission is also hereby granted for PAIYH to copyright such photographs.

Violation of Policies: PAIYH reserves the right to expel, dismiss, or suspend from the studio any person who is in violation of PAIYH policies.


Registration: A deposit is due at the time of registration, as well as the annual registration fee, if applicable.  Online registration is paid using a credit card through the recurring payment system. Parents registering at the studio may pay with cash, check, or credit card. All deposits, tuition, and fees are non-refundable.

Balance Due: Any account balance is due the first day of the camp/intensive.  Sibling/multiple camp discounts will be reflected in the balance due. Recurring payment accounts will be charged the Friday before the camp/intensive begins. All parents must sign a waiver by the first day of the camp/intensive.

Late Fees and Returned Checks: A $10 late fee is charged each week to past due accounts, including accounts that can not be processed due to inaccurate account information or expired cards. A $30 fee is charged for each returned check.

Withdrawal: To cancel your attendance and avoid being charged, submit a withdrawal form at least two weeks prior to the first day of the camp/intensive.

Annual Registration Fee: The annual registration fee is $30 per student or $50 per family. The fee is due at the time of registration.

Registration: The Fall-to-Spring season runs August through May, and the Summer Season runs through June and July. Tuition is due each month for the duration of the season. Tuition is paid using a recurring credit card through PAIYH's online registration system. The annual registration fee, first month's tuition, and any additional class fees are due at registration. Students who join in the middle of a month are charged a prorated tuition. Students must register and pay to reserve space in a class.

Tuition Payments: Class tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Tuition is charged to the credit/debit card on file each month until the end of the dance season. Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of absences, vacations, or holidays; depending on how class dates fall, students may have as many as five classes in some months and fewer in other months. There are no refunds or adjustments for absences, but make-up classes are allowed and encouraged. Those who choose not to participate in recurring payments are required to pay tuition quarterly; payment cycles are September-November, December-February, and March-May. Quarterly tuition payments are due the 15th of the month prior to the quarter and are non-refundable.

Withdrawal: To withdraw from a class and stop recurring payments submit a withdrawal form by the 15th of the month prior to withdrawal. No more charges will occur for the class. If notification is received after the 15th, the system will make one final charge on the 1st of the following month before cancellation. Upon withdrawal and re-entry into the same dance season, a re-entry registration fee may be assessed. All deposits, tuition, and fees are non-refundable. No credits. No refunds. No exceptions.

Performance Opportunities: PAIYH holds a Winter Showcase in January and a Spring Recital in May.  Most students participate in these performance opportunities, but they are optional.  Information packets will be provided so you can decide.
